It might be possible to receive music lessons from an instructor who has an extremely low lesson rate, though it would also be highly unlikely that those lessons would be of any value. An instructor with such a low lesson rate generally lacks either the music education and/or the music experience required to effectively teach music.

On the other hand, one could easily find a music instructor who has an extremely high lesson rate. In some cases the instructor will simply over-charge and, regardless of how highly educated and experienced they are, their lessons are not worth such an outrageous price. Students might receive quality music lessons from pricey instructors, yet they can receive the same quality music lessons from equally qualified instructors who compete with those prices, offering lower lesson rates.

You will receive quality music lessons with me at a realistic and competitive rate. I am highly qualified in my profession - including my music education and music experience - and I have lower lesson rates than other instructors in the area.

Different music instructors have different lesson durations. The duration of your lessons should allow for enough time for you and your instructor to effectively review the material from the previous week and to cover new material for the current week.

It can be difficult to determine the value and worth of music lessons when every music instructor has a different musical background, charges a different rate, and has a different lesson duration. When choosing an instructor it is important to know about their education and experience in music before taking lessons with them. Becoming aware of the instructor's training and experience before selecting the teacher will help assure that you made a worthwhile choice.
